What is the best way to deal with/stop your roommate from snoring…?

Question by Drew B: What is the best way to deal with/stop your roommate from snoring…?
I can’t use earplugs or anything like that because I need to set an alarm for every morning. For the record, I have actually hit my roommate with a pillow before, and it stopped him from snoring (I asked him in the morning about it and he said he didn’t even know it happened). I tried dealing with it and putting a pillow over my head, but an hour and a half later and I was ready to hit him again. But I feel bad about doing that, and I’m wondering if there is possibly a more “delicate” way of stopping him from snoring. Thanks for your help.

Maybe talk to him about it and get those strips that go on the outside of your nose to help you breathe better. Hey, it’s better than smacking with a pillow! lol

  1. get a new roommate it will never work out

  2. pillow. over. mouth. just kidding you could probably get used to it though

  3. Sorry to tell you this, but you really can’t do anything, short of moving out and getting your own place, or finding a new non-snoring roommate.

I wish you luck. And you have my sympathy.

  4. shyt in his mouth so that next time he will sleep with his mouth closed
lol…….that will teach him a lesson lol

  5. I’m guessing we’re talking dorm life…almost everyone snores in some way. But really loud snoring can be caused by some medical conditions. You might be out of luck for now. Those nose strip things work for some people, give those a shot. Until then…try it go to sleep before him. When I was in college tylenol pm was my best friend.

  6. Its a nuisance for sure….

Have you tried pushing a banana up each of his nostrils?

Its an effective and economical solution, plus, depending on how far in you push the bananas, there may be some left over for you to eat.

If im woken mid slumber, i get hungry and i always used to find the remaining inch of each banana satisfied my rumbling tum.

Hope this helps and good luck.

  7. Buy him a box of “Breathe right” strips for the nose. It works.

  8. I think you had better advice him or her to see a doctor. A book said that snoring is a kind of illness concerning trachea.
