Dainty hands that held a
Slowly swaying fan, yet
She could not fan away the
Flames of desire that
Sparkled in her eyes, as
Mine, the moment we met.

She said I was her whole
World. I was taken aback
And sought solutions
Outside of myself, and said
To the most beautiful
Girl, “This is about you
Giving me ideas to help
Myself, for any touch will
Bring sorrow, and what I
Say will bring insult. Is it
Better not to have loved?”

A primordial fascination
Fixed her deep brown eyes
To mine; I longed to be
With her, and have her,
And have her in my heart
And soul, to lay with her
To make certain she didn’t
Snore; only then would I
Decide if we had a future.
